I recently purchased a Zorki-4K for a grand total of £5. It came with 3 expired rolls of Kodak ColorPlus 200, so before even looking at the functions of the camera, I threw one of the rolls in and got to take some snaps.

The first thing I notices was that the split image was barely noticeable. A little IPA soaked q-tip on the range finder window sorted that right out. The verticle alignment of the split image is a little off, but the horizontal appears to be fine.

Looking at the results, it seems like the closing curtain is occasionally getting stuck, so I’ll need to adjust the tension on that.

  • Zorki-4K + Jupiter 8 lens
  • Kodak ColorPlus 200 (expired 2014)
  • Normal C-41 dev times
  • Scanned on Epson v700 & inverted with NLP
